ciprBlogging seems to be merging the boundaries between PR & journalist.  Many marketing departments in organisations have their own blogs while increasingly, individuals with a drum to beat or a strong passion have their own.  This, more than ever, illustrates the need for collaboration and communication across sectors.  These characteristics are innate to many charities.  It’s simply a case of demystifying the blogosphere and providing guidelines on how best to develop these relationships in an online environment.

The philosophy behind social media is ideal for our sector, allowing organisations to create and tap into communities of shared ideas and values.  At Fifth Estate, we’re keen to keep members up to speed on how best to work with it as part of a strategic communications strategy.
